    Default My Project

I'm about halfway finished with my Hawaii scrapbook. I'm new to scrapbooking so this first project is very simple. I don't have the creative juices that a lot of you have and I do like an uncluttered look. Some scrapbooks that I have seen look too busy and I don't care for that. I just wish Hobby Lobby would run another special on their scrapbooking pages. I refuse to pay full price.

I used to do the busy pages, but am finding that I can spend hours on one page - which is not accomplishing my goal of getting things in the book. What about using rubber stamps on your pages? You can get some nice generic ones you could use for lots of different themes, and stamp your own patterned paper. Good Luck!

Thanks for the idea about the rubber stamps. I may try that. I don't know if I can wait for another sale. That stuff was just on sale last week so it's going to be a while before it's on sale again. I can't imagine spending hours on just one page. I have too much other stuff going on (quilting, sewing, gardening, baking ) to do extensive work on just one page. I bet it looks nice though.

I like to spend along time on each page, I dunno why. I guess it gives me a chance to procrastinate on other things I need to do, lol.

Unfortunately until baby sleeps more often or finally takes naps longer than ten minutes, I will have to leave the scrapping till later. By the time he goes to sleep at night it is late and I can't see straight enough to do any new pages.

Wish I was able to scrap more!~ I wanted to get more active in this forum once he was born!

I remember the days when my kids were newborns. They demanded a lot of my time.
