Printing your own photos
I have just set up my new printer(got really really cheap) with ink, and did a few test photos. They look wonderful. But I"m finding that they scratch easily.
Do they need to sit and set for awhile? Will it get better? Or am I doomed to running to costco for prints? I'd love to be able to do prints at home. I have pricedit out, and it's about 6¢ per pic(including ink). So it would be great, but not if htey are scratching super easily.

I've printed out a lot of photos and have never had that problem. When I print photos I let the sheets sit out flat on a table or the bed until they dry -- but that doesn't usually take more than 15 or 20 minutes. What type of photo paper are you using? You might experiment with different brands, and finishes -- glossy, matte, etc. before giving up.
