That's a pretty neat site! I used to love the shopgoodwill dot com auction site too, but S/H charges are just so way out there now

, that these days I do alot more browsing than I do bidding!

Thanks. We like to shop thrift stores when we travel, so we're always trying to find out where they are before we leave home.

~Me too! My mom and I are going to a church retreat next month and I've already scoped out the nearest two thrifts for browsing in our free time. Different locations have totally different surplus and prices. Something in one place may be a premium price but on the $1 rack/shelf at another city. It's fun and surprising to find the treasures.

My mom and I scoped out several of the thrift stores on the site today. Some we could find, others are closed. We are thinking of starting our own website for thrift store shoppers. If we do start our own webpage, we will grade stores (maybe more than just thrift stores) on cleanliness, prices, location, etc. I don't know if it will happen or not but it is something we are considering.

When we go thrift store shopping, we take turns driving instead of paying each other for gas. Sometimes one of us will buy the other's lunch.

I recommend definitely doing a map ahead of time so it doesn't end up being a wild goose chase. We ended up all over the place and wasted a lot of time (and gas). We didn't give ourselves enough planning time before going.
