Great day thrifting!!

2 pairs leather dress shoes for DS 16. He wears a size 11 and his DH is size 9 (no sharing). I go him a brown (good condition) and black (like new Bass shoes) for $3 each. I have been dreading having to pay $30 for cheap payless shoes that he will wear maybe 5 times a year, but I felt bad that he had to wear his marching band shoes to prom because we didn't have shoes that fit him. I have been looking for shoes in Thrift stores for months for him.
I got a pair of like new leather sandals for next summer $3, Pink Franco Sarto purse .99, 2 scarves .99 each, and a pair of gap khakis for work that were like new and actually fit (I have very long legs, very hard to find pants to fit) and 2 dress dress shirts $2 each
Best of all I got a really cute pair of black leather boots that my daughter LOVED!!! She had been sending me pictures of $100 boots as Christmas ideas, YIKES! I am so excited to get her something she likes, I was even willling to pay $5 for them. She even liked another shirt I found that I would have worn.
Such a big score, I never find clothes that fit me or are in such new condition. When I was looking at the shoes and so some very expensive brands (ie Sturart Wiezman), that unfortunately were too big for me I knew someone had emptied their closet so I spent extra time searching! I am so excited, I didn't want to spend any money this week but I am glad I did.

Great deals. Sometimes it does pay to purchase what you like when you can even though you would rather save. When you can afford to without causing financial stress it is definately worth it. Enjoy your new finds!
