Talking See my new sewing studio...

I posted pics in my album here at FV. Yesterday we moved the computer up here. I am now in the process of sorting through fabric...hence the mess! I'm ironing quilting scraps and cutting them to size before storing them.

I love it too! Everything in one compact room. One reason I have to go through my fabric is because I've stuffed the closet (behind the mirror) with boxes of fabric too. Time to get serious about what I can and cannot sew.

    Looking good! You're an inspiration!
I wish I had more room for my sewing stuff; it's all in drawers and closets (along with my stockpile), because my office-den just barely holds all of my office equipment.

I'm sure you will get so much done w/such a nice space to work in. I think it looks quite organized already, but enjoy get it just the way you want it. I mean, aren't closet meant to hide our extras? Thanks for share your pictures! They are very inspiring. Hope to have a craft area of my own soon.

LOL! about closets meant to hold stuff. The problem is, I can't reach the top shelf where DH put the boxes of fabric. So it could be interesting sewing the fabric up.

Today I went through my patterns and tossed all the ones that don't fit or that I can't/won't use. It was over half of them. My girls have assured me they are never having children. So I put the baby patterns into the box for Full Circles. A shame really. there's some good stuff there. And children's clothing is so much fun to make! But what use would I have for it? So it's onto other things.

I continue to iron, sort and fold fabric for storage. I foresee a few string quilts in my future....

I also found a detailed site on organizing fabric scraps. I'll have to hunker down and read it over when I am alert and able to concentrate. Right now I've been running around all day and I'm tired.

Its going to be so nice, bright. I need to clean out my sewing room too. I have the same light over my sewing machine and I love it.

It is so awesome peanut! You are so lucky to have a separate room to use. My sewing stuff is all over the house, in every nook and cranny. Really annoying. Enjoy!

You're ironing fabric scraps and cutting them to size and then storing them? I am absolutely drooling with envy. Then I remember all the wwork that you've done - you certainly deserive all this and more!!
