Fabric Melted on Iron...
I didn't know exactly where to post this but I had my iron on too high to iron my good slacks and the fabric melted onto the iron! So far I've tried vegetable oil, vinegar and baking soda to get it off but to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?! Thanks!

If it is a plain steel plate you can try a razor blade. Don't do this with the coated ones. Try not to gouge the surface.
I have removed melted stuff by heating the iron and wiping it on rough cloth like cheap muslin.Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.
If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.
