Is it to late to join the sewing club? I recently received my mils
antique singer sewing machine and I would love to put it to use.

    Let me know, thanks. Happymommy

    Default Novices, as well?

I would love to join. I must warn you, though, my sewing experience is limited to Home Economics in grade 7, and years and years of mending!!

I would love a whole club of mentors to help me be brave enough to branch out!

Might as well add me too! And maybe somebody can answer me the question of why I used to able to go in and buy a pattern the same as I would RTW and sew it up and it would fit.

Now I buy a pattern and it is too large but the measurements show it smaller. They must be putting a ton of ease in those clothes these days or I'm just losing my marbles, LOL!

Dee, did you really put your poor doggy in that costume? You just ruined it's social life. It will never get another date, LOL!

LOL No Patches, that is just a graphic I found on the net. It said underneath it "If you tell the guys, I'll pee in your shoe!"

You are not loosing your marbles LOL, I agree, there is a lot of ease in patterns, luckily they usually come in at least 3 sizes to a package now, so you can cut a 12 on top and a 14 on the bottom if you need it.

Well, that is good to know and I'm glad I also haven't forgotten how to sew.

And I agree, if I was that pooch and anybody told that I was wearing that costume, I would pee in their shoe too!
