    Default Long signatures

Just wondering, is there any kind of site policy regarding really long sigs?

I want to be sure mine isn't too long. I know I hate it when sigs start getting so long on a site that you can't read the actual posts for all the sig stuff...

I know what you mean. I actually shut my display sigs off because there are a few signatures that I was reading thinking that they were posts and then kept reading to realize it was their signature. ETA: Pics are fine, but when it's all words, I get confuzzled.

Good question! I was wondering too since the average size seems to be growing lately.

Just wondering - if you could get the pix to show up all on one line, it wouldn't be nearly as overwhelming...

Could you put them back w/o putting line breaks after them?

It used to be capped at a low amount, but people wanted to use it for their accountability lists (which is great). So I upped it. I thought 600 characters excluding bb code and 1200 characters including bb code would be enough. It's a signature, not a web page or novel, right? I don't mind when it's text or even an image, but the excessive use of all options such as text, smilies, tickers, images all at once is a bit much for me. We're sharing not beaconing ships. LOL But that's just my opinion. I understand others enjoy their flair.

Usually they change so often, it really isn't an issue.

No, mine is a heck of a lot longer than yours, CL!! I will have to see if I can trim it a bit. It *is* my accountability log, though....
