Finally, I have the time to sit and get this done. I'm keeping the choices to suggestions previously made: https://www.frugalvillage.com/forums/...n-perhaps.html And have tried to group them in like categories.

I'm limiting everyone to just one vote since Gabe will only be doing the most popular. So vote carefully.

I went for Welcome, since I would like to let people know I have read introductory posts when I don't have time to post to everything.

But WTG would be good, and I proposed Useful Post to, to split it from Thanks.

This was a hard choice. I would like all of them! But I think it's really important to acknowledge new forum members.

I think Stuff it Greebo should win, because anything with my name in it should win.

As much as I'd love to tell Greebo to stuff it sometimes (just joking really), I don't find that the most useful option. I voted for WTG.

I almost voted for the Welcome button, but I think it's important to actually type the word out for new members. I'm guilty of not doing this and I really should. I just voted I don't think we need another button, but it really doesn't matter.....they all look good.

Although tempted to vote the "stuff it Greebo" button, I don't think we need another one.

    IMHO........

It's just clutter and something that can be over used or missed used like the thank you button.

I rather just type a post out and respond.

I would like to see either a WTG..........or useful post.

Now when someone gives some good info all you can do is do the thank you.......which I guess is okay...but would rather be able to do the useful post for new webs posted or etc.

It's a message board and I don't want to feel limited if I want to respond a simple thank you and type it out or respond to a useful post. I rather type why I feel this way to a poster....

I feel the buttons turn into some type of a popularity thing. I rather have all the buttons go away, including the hug too, and just respond in a post if it's as simple.. as even if it's just to say a simple hug or thank you.

    IMHO of course.

I would like to see the tracking of "How many times hugged" or "thanked" go away since the tracking of it and displaying of the scores seems to turn it into the popularity contest.

I voted for WTG since there are so many little things we do to make our lives successful. It offers encouragement towards our next steps.

For new members coming into the Village, I would rather see typed responses, however I know I am a big culprit of not getting those messages posted myself.

I use Thanks as a response to any post that I find useful simply because it is probably new information for me and I appreciate the sharing of it by the poster.

As for the "stuff it Greebo," I'd rather see the expression on his face when I say it.

I'm an equal opportunity hugger & thanker aka:EOHAT, lol.

My vote went to "I agree" because often times I do and i don't have much more I want to add to the discussion that hasn't already been said and just want to add my "I'm with you on that" to the post.

~I voted for WTG. I think this would be especially nice on all the ongoing challenge threads to let posters know we're excited for their successes without having to type a response to each person who accomplished something.
I really love the buttons! I don't think of them as a popularity thing. I think of them as a modern equivalent to a "Thank You" note. It lets the poster know that their thread was read and their contribution was appreciated.~
