Default How To or Tutorial Request Thread?

You may or may not have noticed that Gabe is working to create some how-to or tutorial threads to help make operating the site a bit easier.

I know I need further instruction on how to properly post a recipe so that it formats in an easy to read style.

Is there anything you would like to see Gabe address?

how to search for a subject - instead of always writing a post looking for info (certain subjects come up again and again)

    how to write a review
    - on products, foods etc. I know I wrote one before and had it all backwards because it's a different set-up

I'd like one that explains "how to" tell Gabe to make a pot of coffee. Or change his avatar.

I created a tutorial. Let me know if you would like it changed or tweaked!

I thought that was the only thing he did well?

Default How about a How To on using JuJu

I noticed mine was missing after accumulating some. I submitted a help ticket and then started poking around. All the information on juju seems to come from what people have observed. I haven't seen any help threads or FAQs that really explains how it works. It seems that if you don't log in for several days it disappears gradually. I think I had 136 or so. That means it disappeared at a minimum rate of 22 points a day (if each day means you lose some.)

Would someone be able to create something that explains it, how you get it, how you lose it, how fast you lose it, and how you use it and then post it to the How-To section?

    Thank you,
    Clorinda

There's not much to tell because it's not up and working 100%. But yes, people do lose points for inactivity. It's a point system based on activity. When you lose points for inactivity, you gain them back easily with activity. And it takes very little activity to regain lost points for inactivity. We will revisit all the points and how they're accumulated or subtracted once we actually have the entire thing up and running. It's been a long time, but I'm not sure I have time to manage this properly and it's sort of a bell that can't be unrung once it's all working 100% and launched. So for now, we've let the points continue to add and subtract and we'll see what the future holds.
