Default Certain ads are slowing my computer down

The Green Giant ad and the Yoplait (Delights? I think - with maroon background) ads are slowing me down. Is there any way to fix this besides refreshing the page?

If you're using Firefox as your browser, there's an Ad-Block download available. Let me know if you need it.

Using Firefox and this is the worst ever I've had a problem. Takes forever to load a page. Not sure what the deal is, I cleared my cache. nothing is working.

So its not only me. I can refresh the page when those ads come up but yesterday there was an instance where I had to refresh 12 times in a row because the Green Giant ad came up over and over.

    If it's this one:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865/
it will block all the "flash" ads that hangup a computer.

Patience please. Send a screen capture with your problem. An image is worth a thousand words.

I'm not having loading issues on my side, So I have to see what exactly you are showing so that I can try to replicate.

Please provide as much information about your computer and connection. This helps!

I seem to be having the same problems as posters on this thread:
    https://www.frugalvillage.com/forums/...-problems.html

But I noticed it was only doing it with certain ads. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know.

I'm not sure what to screen capture? My computer hangs - everything looks the same - it just doesn't respond or takes forever to respond.

Things seem to be working better today - still a little slow with the green giant ads but not like the last couple days.

    Sony Vaio
    Win 7 64 bit
    Intel Core Duo 4GB
    IE8

    Thanks Gabe

A screen capture would show where you are browsing. Then I could go to the same thread/post and see if I can replicate the slowness.

Will take a look at it tonight. Just got home from work.

I'll post a screen capture if it keeps happening. Thanks again Gabe.

I don't have a clue how to do a screen shot thing, but I can tell you that at approx. 8 pm this evening, I started trying to log in for a bit over 40 minutes...nothing happening...but down at the bottom where "done" usually appears, this was there for a long time..."waiting for ad.afy11.net..."
