    Default Ignore?

I'd like to see the ignore feature come back, or some option to mark a thread I don't want to read any more.

Too many topics here to keep track of and it helps if I can weed out the ones I have no interest or experience in.
Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.

If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

Use it up, Wear it out,
Make it do, Or do without. ~unknown

School is out in a few days and all of the end of the year stuff will be wrapped up and we can focus more on the site. We haven't been home in the evenings lately at all. We've been at recitals, concerts, track events, field day, open houses, IEPs, honors assembly, practices, lessons, parade, etc. etc. Life has been a blur for two weeks now, but I'm very much aware that everything on the forum is stripped down. That's because all of the features from the previous forum version were added on through the years. Some features are no longer compatible with the forum update and some coders just simply stopped working on them. Even the appearance of the forum isn't finished yet.

Dang, I hope so. It was really nice when I could just click to get rid of entire threads I had no interest in. But sometimes when there's a software change, you can't get back all the goodies that were there before.

You can still ignore individual posters and their posts will be hidden, but still noted within a thread. I wish I could click and never have to see any mention of certain people again, but it never was that way so I'm sure that's wishful thinking on my part.

If I'm going to dream, I might as well dream big, right?

SD, I have a couple of people ignored, and I have felt the same as you. Unfortunately, I still see their drivel in the "real time" posts, or when they are quoted by others. Can't have everything, I guess.

LOL! I'm right there in line waiting with you, Lynn!

MH, I know, but I keep wishing. OTOH, watching some of the drama makes for good character study. I know a few people who just might end up in a story sometime. Although of course I'll make sure they wouldn't recognize themselves.

SD, some people wouldn't recognize their uglier sides if you stuck a mirror up in front of them.

If you click on their username, then go into their profile, you should see an option to add them to your ignore list.

In theory, you can't ignore a mod, but I had one on ignore prior to that person becoming a mod, and I was allowed to continue to ignore that person afterward, so I think, if you PM Sara or Gabe, they'd at least consider allowing you to do so.

LOL! FF, no need for you to go peek-see at all.

I think the ignore thread feature would go a long ways toward reducing friction on the forum, at least some of the time.

MH, I've put mods on ignore at times and didn't need any permission.

I fear the recipes are gone for good. Too bad, too, they used to be such a great resource.
