Default What's up with the siggies?

Just noticed today that alot of people's siggies including mine (but not all) look just like this with the html stuff instead of normal:

    'Almost' Debt Free!

    Tammy
    Married to Dan

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference
    .

    Is it just me??

Oh now thats just weird. The example that I gave posted just like it should, but my siggie at the bottom still has all the html stuff.

I thought it was just me when I noticed it a day or two ago.

I noticed a lot people's different tickers are not showing up either.

Ahh was just about to post that I was having trouble posting the updated ticker in my sig. Have not had this problem on other forums so thought it might just be here. Will be patient and wait.

I, too, had problems with my siggy this morning. It didn't like my URL to my blog. I had to remove the blog link in order to update the siggy.

Html in signatures has been turned off. (but bb code was on, so most links remained) Spammers/hackers are able to embed scripts into their signatures and exploit. This is a vulnerability/security measure. This happened about 1.5 weeks ago. This forum was vulnerable and I should have known better. I don't know why I ever had that setting permitted. I had approximately 10 malicious people register and believe me, you don't want this feature on. It is set to off by default by the forum developers for a reason.

Also, I have rules for signatures that haven't been followed by some. In some cases it's unintentional and in others it's quite intentional.

Signature links and tickers may become a thing of the past. I haven't decided yet. Through the years, I've received many complaints about signature flair..varying from it looking kiddy to it slowing the forums down. I ignored those complaints, but am currently reconsidering this issue.

I can certainly understand the concerns about signatures, and thanks for keeping our info safe. I would miss seeing the links to everyone's blogs in the signature lines, but the reason would be understood.

I totally understand about the html being turned off, but the BB URL code isn't working now either. I can also see how the sigs may take a while to load and look a little tacky, but I was really looking forward to keeping track of my progress on my sig. I'll miss my tickers.

I'll probably put something else in place. So hoping everyone just holds tight until I decide what's best. I most definitely want everyone to still be able to keep track of their progress toward goals, so I'll sort out a solution.

Thanks Sara for this. I would love to be able to have my ticker back for my pregnancy, but I understand the security reasons.

Thanks for the heads up.. I was wondering why my new "savings goal" ticker wasn't working.

So are we going to be able to change our siggies at all? I've tried taking out all links and I still get that error message.
