We noticed that a lot of our digestion issues were contributed from eating too much gluten. As far as the gas goes, that could also be a gluten sensitivity. I get lots of stomach cramps and gas from eating dairy, but it's still there even if I eat Lactaid capsules.

I absolutely love this recipe; it's so creamy. If you bake with it, you may want to add another 1/4c milk per batch to thin it out. It's just like the stuff you get in the can where you have to add milk and/or water to thin it out, but I've only added milk to this one to thin it out.

    1 1/2 Tbsp butter
    1 tsp chicken bouillon
Silly question - sounds like I'm making a roux, so is it ok to sub margarine for butter? And the blln - its powdered right, not liquid?

Yeah it's powdered bouillon. You can sub butter and margarine. I didn't notice a difference and I've made it both ways.
