Do you add a lot of spices to your homemade soup
Yes, most times with good results. However, there have been times when it's had a different taste, thats for sure.

Absolutely. I put lots of herbs and spices in everything.

Yes, we like to have alot of flavor in our foods. Soup especially.

yup. I start most with some salt and whole black pepper corns. I fry up onions, a bit of garlic and a chopped stalk of celery or two for most soups as a flavour base.
Then
for tomatoe based soups I like a lot of basil and oregano.
For clear chicken soups or leftover turkey I throw in some sage, savoury and poultry seasoning.
I don't do ham or pork much in soup
but for beef and barley type soups I like to add a bay leaf or two.
