Default Makhluta-Lentils with Dried Beans and Rice

We had this soup tonight and it's so good I wanted to share it.

    1/4 c. lentils
1/4 c. dried garbanzo beans (chick peas)
    1/4 c. dried lima beans
1/4 c. black beans (I made it with kidney beans)
    7-8 c. water
    1 T. cumin
    1/4 c. rice
    1 large onion, coarsely chopped
    salt to taste
    1/2 c. olive oil

Wash all dried beans and soak overnight. Drain. Place beans in kettle with water and cover. Bring to a boil, add cumin, reduce heat, and cook on medium. After half an hour, add rice (add with cumin if using brown rice), onion which has been sauteed in oil, and salt. Cook until beans, lentils and rice are tender. Serves 6.

Consistency is similar to chili, but you can thin it according to your personal taste.

Do you think this could be made in a crockpot?

I've never tried it, but if you know how to adapt it, let me know how it turns out.
