Getting Cabin Fever!
It's been a long winter, and I don't get out much. Usually just to go shopping or the library, and the daily walk to my daughter's bus stop. Me and my baby are both going nuts with boredom.
And it really sucks, because I don't drive. I feel like I'm stuck here, and I'm going insane. Not really, but it really is boring.
Just ranting. I wish it was summer!

I get out to go to work and shop one evening a week. I'm getting cabin fever too. It's always cold and I miss walking in the fresh air, it's too bitter to do that right now. Spring will be here soon, keep repeating that, some days it helps me

What would you do in the summer? Is is really not ok to do it bundled up in the winter? Can you go for walks with an umbrella and lots of layers? I don't know the answers at all, don't even know what part of Oregon you're in, but I've often enjoyed a walk in weather that many people think they have to stay in because of.

I know all about cabin fever. It really is one of the downfalls to being a sahm. I just finally get fed up, and go to a friend's house, or to my parents, or to a store. Anywhere, just to get out!

I'm feeling this way, too! With a 3 year old and a 1 year old I can't go out and do much unless it involves a store...and then I spend money!! Oh, I miss the days of the park and the zoo. But, this too shall pass! Summer will be here soon!

I really don't mind the weather too much(constant rain or hail) but the kids hate it.
I was mostly just whining. Spring break will be here soon, then there will be lots to do.

Have you tried changing up your routine at all? If you normally spend all your time on the main floor, try spending a morning upstairs taking care of things, or playing with the baby. If you have a schedule, try flipping things around. Changes like that make things seem not so routine, which could help you feel better.

I grew up in the northeast ( now in Texas) and I found that going out walking around in the snow and cold always made me feel better... knowing I had a warm place to be when I got home.
Go on a hike to the library or grocery store this week.......
you'll be glad to get back home and be inside.

How old is your baby? Do you have any hobbies? I haven't been board in yrs. ...my parents didn't allow that word...it meant they'd come up w/something for me to do which was usually cleaning, etc. We've had yucky weather here in NE OK too but there's always something to do....grab a good book when the baby is down...! Good luck!

Totally know where you are coming from. My DD just got over the chickenpox and I feel like we have been in this house forever. And we still have at least 15 inches of snow out there. Hurry Spring!!!!

I'm so tired of winter too. I don't have a car either, makes it more difficult when you feel stuck.
