The Barilla sauce was a "right place at the right time" deal. I had been getting some cosmetics at Target, and since I'm not there as often as I'd like, I checked the grocery aisles. The sauce was clearanced, and priced at only $.66, so I asked a fellow working the grocery section why. I wsa afraid it had been damaged or something. It seems our Target and Walmart use some of the same delivery trucks, and the sauce was intended for Walmart. Apparently this happens often enough so Target has the set policy to deeply discount items that are delivered to them instead of Walmart. I also had $.55 coupons in the car, destined to expire the same week. I bought what I could cheaply, and shared the coupons with another person who said they liked Barilla too.
