stick around my home very long! My sons came to visit,
first time since August and they went back home with
a large portion of my stockpile and regular groceries. So
its back to square one again :S

This is the time of year I try to stockpile so I don't have to shop when it's hot. I hit Kroger "10" sale yesterday:
20 cans tomatoes
10 cans of fruit (cocktail, peaches, tropical)
7 cans of broth (chicken & vegetable)
8 cans of corn
10 pkgs spaghetti
14 boxes Annie's mac and cheese (.49 each!)
2 Nestle's cocoa
5 boxes Quaker Oat Sqaures, favorite snack, rarely on sale
They were out of some things, nearly out of others. I'll probably go back Monday and get more tomatoes, canned fruit, maybe more spaghetti, some of the things they were out of, and (she says with embarrassment), maybe more Oat Squares.
Edited: Oh, I wasn't thinking of produce. They had packs of 9 red/yellow bell peppers for 4.88 -- .54 each. They're usually 1.50 each. I'll chop and freeze them with onions. Actually, I may pick up another bag of those too. I don't think I've ever seen them so cheap.

Ok, haven't been on in awhile & just getting hang of couponing & stocking up so here are my recent finds between CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid & local Shaws grocery store:

I got coupons in the mail recently from Kroger. So I did some major stocking up yesterday. I saved 43% using coupons. That doesn't include the sale prices (almost everything I bought was on sale).
Love those Kroger coupons! I haven't used any of my new ones yet. But I went back to Kroger and the canned goods sale again:
20 more cans of Del Monte tomatoes at .50
21 more cans of Kroger fruit (17 of them apricots) for .40 with my senior discount
10 more 12 oz Skinner spaghetti at .38
4 cans/jars of gravy at .50 or .75
5 more boxes of Quaker Oat Squares at 1.49
At another store -
20 cans of tomato soup at .50
So with both trips I have more or less a year's supply of canned tomatoes (well, maybe - I use a lot), canned fruit, mac and cheese, and soup (various kinds), and a many months supply of snack cereal and sphagetti.
I could use a few more cans of green beans, corn, and kidney beans, and need more spagetti sauce, but I'm about finished with the canned stuff until next fall!

5lb bag of flour
1 package of keilbasa in freezer
