Now, if you'd like, tell us your story on how you did it! What was the hardest part? What was the easiest part?

My story & how I did it...was really listening to all the advice here and elsewhere while making myself stick to it. As the famous saying goes - you didn't accumulate the debt overnight, so it won't go away overnight. Took me a while but I am here and I plan to stay this way.

Easiest part - reading all the websites, articles, stories, advice and tips

Hardest part - applying and sticking to it all while telling others "NO" to going out, dining out, excess spending etc

Most fun part - trying out all the tips, tricks and recipes to be frugal lol

The best part of it all - the village has been wonderful as a source of info and support.

    Thank you everyone!

That's a terrific way to spend New Year's Eve! Much better than silly hats and bubbly!

You will be astounded at how much money there is for savings with all the bills out of your life. I was, and still am. When I first hit that spot I kept checking and double checking the bank account. How could there possibly be that much money left? Not a bad problem to have.

Whoo! Way to go! I bet you feel giddy from the freedom, I know I did.
Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.

If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

Use it up, Wear it out,
Make it do, Or do without. ~unknown

Because we, the people, have the power to build a better future. KH
