Default Its been a long day, I need a hug!

I've had a really long day.

started with a simple phone call to my ex this morning about Tball for my son. That started into he's never going to get off second shift and when we were married...blah blah blah.

The he tells me that he tried to get our 6 yr old to do homework 10 minutes before the bus came and of course it back fired and my son went to school crying and my ex was upset all morning.

My next call was asking how he felt about James spending the night with the sitter because of the weather, its been snowing since 10am. He didn't want James to spend the night because he was feeling bad about their fight earlier and he wouldn't get to see James tomorrow. i said why can't you just go get him in the morning after the roads are clear. I get "'cause I don't want to". which sets me off because rather than he go 10 minutes out of his way tomorrow after the roads are clear, I get to drive 45 minutes out of my way in a snow storm.

I get off the phone and I'm literally swearing at him in my head and I knock my water glass all over my desk.

Then my ex calls me and completely changes his tune and said do whatever I think is best. And then starts telling me about his mother. His mother has been recovering from hip surgery since just before Christmas. She still isn't walking. the doctor told the "home" to not put any pressure on the foot so that means therapy is stopping, which means the insurance is stopping. My ex was just about in tears because the doctor wasn't calling anyone back and he had no idea what to do next.

So now I feel bad for my Ex.

Then my father calls and tells me he can't watch my son tomorrow 'cause he has a house guest. I ask who and he says my brother. So I ask why and well my brother, who has been clean for we think around 3 years has relapsed again and his wife threw him out. We also think he got fired from his job but thats unclear and his wife got her car repossessed.

It has not been a very fun day and now I get to pack up and venture home in the snow.

    pitty party for one please

It's not a pity party when you have a legit reason, and I think you qualify for the latter. Sorry to hear things are so rough right now.

    so sorry
does he know why they wont let her weight bear on that leg - maybe its not healing properly ( only reason i can see ).
also alot of seniors can take more than a month to get back on their feet after hip surgery .

most rehabs wont get paid post 2-4 weeks no matter how therapy is going if they have medicare a managed medicare - medicaide or a private insurance.

they ship them out to us in home care for home PT and OT

Thanks everybody! you don't know how much I appreciate all of your kind words.

My son stayed at my sitters last night. The roads weren't that bad when I left work last night but i was just whipped so I decided to just go home. My son was very happy to have a surprise sleep over so that worked out well.

We got a foot of snow here so I just got to work around 11am, supposed to be by 8am. O well!

And I just talked to my father, it seems my brother is "fine" today. However my SIL has been calling my father yelling and screaming at him. yes my father is a HUGE enabler but he doesn't deserve to get screamed at. He's turning 79 next week and he just so doesn't deserve this kind of crap in his life.

I really want to stay out of this but I just emailed my SIL saying to stop calling my father. That if she needed to talk to my brother then call his cell but to stop calling my father and to most definitely stop yelling at him. I expect to get a pretty nasty email at some point today which I have no intention of replying to.

BUT emotionally I do feel much better. Even though my body is sore from shoveling I think being outside this morning and not rushing to work helped clear out my head.

thanks again everyone! I'm very lucky to have a safe place to come and vent my problems!

Glad to hear things are better today. I don't blame you one bit for emailing SIL. She has no right to yell at your dad. Keeping you in my prayers.
