    Default Multiple sclerosis

Long story short, I've been having headaches, body aches and other strange symptoms for about 5 years now. When they first started, I went to get checked out and before they did a cat scan, they wanted me to guarantee I couldn't be pregnant. I couldn't... It turned out I was, so I had to put the scan on hold. Symptoms continued, they come and go, off and on. Sometimes I think it's all in my head, and the symptoms are tolerable so I have put off getting checked out.

A couple days ago I finally got around to calling to get an appointment to get it checked out. As I left the house, I told my husband that I really thought I had MS. The doctor said it might be fibromyalgia, but they are testing specifically for MS. I got a blood test and an MRI ordered right away. I should have the MRI by next week.

Now that I'm not having any symptoms right this minute, I feel like it's all in my head and that they're not going to find anything. It's so easy to write it off, you know?

Anyway, I'm pretty excited about finally getting an answer. If I have fibro, I'll deal with it. No biggie. I've been in pain for 5 years and it's nothing I can't handle. If I have MS... well... I'll deal with that too.

    So wish me luck?

N ishu, hope you get a speedy answer. I was sick for 2 years before I got my MS diagnosis. Did I ever do a happy dance! It's so frustrating knowing you are sick and no one seems to have any answers.

hugs to both of you!! Nishu I hope you get the answers you need quickly. My mother in law has something but is refusing to go to a regular MD. She only goes to the chiro and some chinese doctor.

She is losing muscle strength, drools, her hands shake and there are probably few more issues. Oh, yea stomach and bowel issues of some sort. She will not go to a modern doc because she is in denial and does not want a name for whatever it is she has. Even if that would mean help and some relief. Crazy if you ask me.

Anyway ladies I wish you the best in dealing with your health issues.

I hope you get an answer soon - I have a young friend who was just diagnosed with MS, she just had twins........

But there are so many more treatments available today than there used to be - which is encouraging.

Yep, that is what seems to fit the symtoms she has. I don't know what they do for people who have it but she won't even try to find out.

There are meds for PArkinson's that can GREATLY reduce the symptoms. How sad that she will not seek medical care. And what quacks her chiro and the Chinese guy are for not insisting she see an MD or DO with those symptoms.
