Angry That's it...I'm buying a ticket on the Titanic!

My BIL (the jerk) said that he and his wife (whom I love) would be coming down on Christmas Eve to MIL's house. True to form, after everyone prepared for him and MIL changed her plans to accomodate him, he cancels! Now me, I could care less about seeing him but my young niece was so excited to get to see her aunt and uncle on Christmas Eve and is now really upset. They are going "to try" to make it down on Christmas day to see them, but knowing him, he'll come up with some other lame excuse. This is so typical of him. He never thinks about anyone else but himself. My boys are old enough to realize that he never keeps his promises but my niece is not.

I'm getting that man a 1 way ticket on the Titanic!!!

Sorry about your niece being upset. At least YOU won't have to deal with him.

My bil is the same way with my kids. I stopped making excuses for him and point blank told my girls that he's just not reliable and not to expect him anywhere when he says he'll be there.

I've learned that there are sooooo many selfish, completely self centered people in the world. Be careful Deb, don't let this worm steal your joy. He's not worth it.

I think God is going to allow you to enjoy your Christmas Eve much more than you thought you were going to. I'm sorry your niece is disappointed, but I would count this as a true blessing!

    Thanks all!

I'm relieved that he will not be there and my boys all do not trust, respect, or even care for him at the moment. They all told me they never believe a word he says and that he is so selfish. It's just so sad...he is missing out on 3 of the most loving hearts. Now if we could just get his younger sister to behave all would be well. She's in a snit today and I'm hoping she is over it and herself by tomorrow. If not...make that 2 one way tickets on the Titanic please!

Oh Debbie I am, so sorry your BIL is one big fat jerk!

I hope this hasn't ruined any plans for you or your holiday spirit. Now that I have my spirit back I realize just how important it really is. It lifts and rejuvenates the soul. I hope you find joy and peace in your Christmas weekend!
