For a large Thanksgiving meal what do you prepare ahead of time and just keep in refrigator and how many days?

I don't do anything more than 24 hours in advance, except maybe boil the eggs for deviled eggs.

You have 4 days in the fridge until bacteria start to reach unhealthful levels on cut/prepped/cooked food. I prefer to use those days AFTER the meal, not before.

Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.

If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

1 Week ahead: Make cookie dough and pie crusts and freeze
2 Days ahead: Make pumpkin bread, applesauce cake, and muffins; make cheese ball
1 Day ahead: Make cranberry sauce, crab dip & spinach dip. Bake sweet potatoes for mashed sweet potatoes, make mashed potatoes. Set table. I might make a pie if it's one that does well in refrigerator.
Early on Thanksgiving I do the rest.

Each year it's different. Last year I did both ham and turkey but bought the fully cooked ham from Whole foods so I just had to heat it up in a crock pot for the buffet.

I cook my turnips, prepare them then put in freezer container pop into freezer..can be done several months in advance.

I have been known to prepare mashed potatoes and freeze them also..a few days, weeks to months in advance for any occasion in general.

I also have made my stuffing recipe using my stale homemade bread and freeze it..a few days, weeks or months.

Cabbage salad made a day or 2 day before.

I get the seasoned veggie, cranberry in a bowl the day before.

Pumpkin pie, Cheesecake baked the day before.

Homemade Whipped cream the day before.

I like to just have to bake the turkey..bake the rolls and make the gravy on Thanksgiving heat up the other food so I can enjoy the family a little bit..

p.s. I didn't always prep ahead..but the first time I did this my stress level was next to none...so easy not to have to a majority of the work on Thanksgiving Day..HTH..
