When to apply for Social Security - more information
I wasn't able to add a comment on the previous post about this issue so I started a new one. The gentleman at Social Security gave me INCOMPLETE information. Yes there is a yearly limit but there is also a monthly limit if you file before full retirement age. That amount is $1410 for 2017 and $1420 for 2018.
So even though you may not have reached the yearly limit (only applies to money earned prior to the full retirement age) they will withhold a monthly check if you earned more than the monthly amount.
Hopefully no one was adversely impacted by the previous information.
