piney if it was up to me you could post anything you wanted, out of respect for your age. I'm a young fella compared to you, 65 here, and when I get your age. If I can't swing a hoe 6 hours in 100 degree heat, wanna turn into a tiny bit of dust.

Well would like to see a few more grandkids first, but iffinnnn i cain't swing dat hoe, it won't be fun no moe. I luv gardening

I am 70 and have 4children 4 stepchildren and 13 grands and 1 step great grands. Some days I feel my age but most of the time I don't. I am retired and love being a stay at home homemaker. I belong to a red hat group and we have a lot of fun.

I passed being a third ager, I'm probably a fourth ager -71. When I was first married we were on a limited budget, son-of-a-gun it rolls around again when you retire.

Husband in Nursing Home, our three children are 49, 48, 41 and seven grandsons and one granddaughter. Dotzz

Dotzz like the way you express yourself (son-of-a-gun) you got me by six years, but the wife and I had 6 kids, and now we have 6 grandkids. Yeah I got one in about 5 years could join this club, guess I'm going to have to ask, anyone know what third ager means

This wife was my second, and I had the money rollin in when we got married, it was like let the good times roll. Just wasn't frugal enough, and shut the company down. I don't know that were on a budget, but being frugal does help. Wife has a kind of funny frugality, we are frugal with food, clothes, except for the 14 year old surprise we still have at home. But she spends on whatever makes her happy, and cry's when I spend for the garden which makes money.

Yep I'm frugal alright, I have Tennis Shoes that one of the Kids gave me 2 or three years ago, had another pair that wore out. Have a pair of boots, that wife threw away, and I pulled out of trash, went and got a screw gun, and carefully, srewed the soles,(had come unglued) back on. Might take up shoe cobbling now Waiting for one of the kids to see the holes in my shoes and buy me another pair Ummm one problem I have is they're size 15's

If your wanting to save on washing powder Debbie-cat can tell you how to make some, personally I'm waiting to see if I win the e-mail contest with all the ingredients in it, feeling lucky

Hi, Charles. I had to ask too, but I didn't get an answer, so I did some research.

First Age is being a kid / teenager / student. No responsibilities; your job is to learn.

Second Age is working / raising kids. Your job is to be responsible.

Third Age is retired / semi-retired / empty-nest-er. You may still have to make a living, but you are no longer responsible for kids and you might want to cut back on working in order to do other stuff.

It's based on some obscure psychologist's theories.

Thanks Keith, I'll be real honest, didn't think there was a rhyme or reason for "Third Agers", but I have a new idea for this forum, how about an "obituary section" always like to look and see if my name is listed

Thanks really Keith, I am surprised.

I didn't know you had separated, though. Sorry.

    73 here. DH is 74. Married 54 years, 2 daughters. 4 grandkids, 2 greats.
DH and I are both very healthy and active with hobbies and interests.
I can't think of any younger age I'd like to be. I'm having the time of my life right now.
