Hamburger Pancakes
Recipe DescriptionTasty meal when you need to stretch 1/2 lb of ground meat. I got this out of a cookbook that was used during the Great depression. Serve alone or with tomato or mushroom sauce. Great with mashed potatos.Preparation Steps:Preaheat griddle or frying pan grease if needed with unsalted fat.Level of Difficulty:EasyTime Needed:Ingredients:1/2 lb hamburger meatServes:Directions:
1 tablespoon chooped onion
1/2 teasppon salt
1/4 teasppon baking powder
3 egg yolksCombine 1/2 lb hamburger meat, add onion, salt and baking powder, and egg yolks. Fold in 3 egg whites stiffly beaten.
Drop like pancakes onto hot griddle, cook until done turning once.Last edited by Rhiamon; 01-19-2011 at 01:19 PM.

That sounds interesting... do they come out like a pancake that you can eat by hand or do you need a knife and fork?
