Perfect Oven Baked Chicken Thighs
Perfect Oven Baked Chicken Thighs
Recipe DescriptionHow to make chicken with the tastiest, most crispy skin ever. The first step may seem a little odd, but I've found it makes a difference.Preparation Steps:1. Let the chicken sit uncovered in the fridge for about 2 hours. This dries the outside a bit and makes the skin crispy. The meat is still juicy after cooking, though. I've tried with and without this step, and I like the skin better this way.Level of Difficulty:EasyTime Needed:30 to 45 minutesIngredients:Chicken thighs, as many as you'd likeServes:
salt and pepper, to taste
your choice of spices
Pam
aluminum foil (optional)variesDirections:1. Preheat oven to 425F.
2. Line a baking pan with foil and spray with Pam (optional). This makes cleanup so much easier. If you don't want to use foil, spray pan with Pam.
3. Season the thighs with salt, pepper, and other spices you like. I used K.C. Masterpiece BBQ Seasoning.
4. Place in the baking pan, making sure pieces don't touch. Give each piece as much space as you can. Bake at 425F for 30 to 45 minutes, or until juices run clear.

This really does sound good....thanks! And as for the drying out step, it makes perfect sense to me. I discovered that after I've breaded my pork chops, they fry up much nicer if I let them sit in a single layer on a rack for about 20 minutes or so.
I'll be trying your recipe this week for sure.
