Yosemite National Park?
For those who've been to Yosemite National Park can you give me the 411?
Has anyone camped in the park down in the valley?
Is it a *must see*?
Camping is booked solid there for what seems like forever. I'm using some suggestions from my dad to try to get the dates we can use in the Spring. I just want to make sure all the effort is going to be worth it or if we should concentrate our efforts elsewhere.

We went this summer.
Stayed at the hotel right outside the park -- very expensive, I thought ($200/night). We only stayed 2 nights.
Early summer is a lovely time to go for the waterfalls, but it was very crowded. We found it best to tour the valley in the early morning, and then go driving to see the sights in the afternoon.
We were lucky in that we were there on weekdays. I'd hate to see the crowds on a weekend.
(I heard that on Memorial Day, they turned away 1500 cars. )
