    Default My Recent Staycation

in order to celebrate my mom's birthday, i booked us a staycation weekend package at a BnB hotel in my city.
the hotel is located nearby shops, eateries and convenience stores.
it's a perfect location to get out of our routine & enjoy a staycation.
my mom wanted to enjoy laying down in the hotel room relaxing watching movies on cable.
before we arrived at the hotel, i picked up her birthday cake at a nearby bakery.
mom was happy she got her weekend getaway staycation and i also got to relax & recharge.
it took me 1 month planning for this staycation, i created a simple itinerary rundown and despite the simplicity. it was really nice. i can't wait to do it again.

yes it was nice. the hotel was a small budget hotel type accomodation but convenient and homey. will definitely do this again.
i realize that planning for a vacation is important (packing, creating itinerary rundown) i used to lack planning and go vacations impulsively but find it less enjoyable because i forgot lots of things and miss lots of reccomended activities/places because lack of planning & research.
    an itinerary is a must

I agree with that. I never used to do it, but I plan things to the nth degree now. We had one recent trip when we could not plan ahead very much because of other obligations, and we missed out on so much. Never again. It's too expensive to travel not to get the most out of it we can.

Glad you had a good vacation. A short break from the workaday routine can do wonders for a person to recharge and relax.

sounds like fun!! We like to go on "mini-moons" - a night away in a hotel, using reward points of course!
