Question Do your kids travel well?

Yes and no. They love travelling and we've done lots of it. However because ds is autistic, he doesn't do well with change.

When I use to travel to stay with dh at a job he was doing, we had to stay at the same hotel, eat at the same restaurant and watch the exact same tv programs he did at home. He is now much better, although he still doesn't handle change well.

ithink for a 2 year old, she does exceptionally well. However, we try to do most of our long car travelling at night when she is sleeping.

She has travelled well on planes, too. She didn't cry at all like I was concerned she might.

When she was a baby, though, she was miserable in the car. The position babies are in in those infant seats is particularly bad for GERD babies. We just tolerated it and tried not to travel too often for her, because even with her medication, she was still uncomfortable and we didn't want to do that to her. So we didn't travel much when she was an infant.

Yes. In a car or a plane. They took their first plane trip last year and are going again in March.

Mostly yes. We have "just for car" activities that keep them pretty busy. Isabel likes to sing long and loud on car trips which I find amusing but Philip finds very annoying. Wonder where she got that from...

Yes, for the most part... DD(11) sometimes get car sick and just sucks on a lemon, then she is fine... DD (2) gets car sick easily... But mostly they fall asleep half way through, and if they do that then the ride is nice..

Pretty much yes, they do. Last year was their first trip in a plane and they did REALLY well. I was suprised anyway. We're trying it again in March when I take them to see my mother in Phoenix.

They do okay in a car too. It's a three hour+ ride to my in-laws house and we've not heard any complaints from the kiddos.
