Are you getting your dh anything for Valentine's Day & what...
are you getting him? I am leaning towards something he needs this year. He really needs clothes, so I was thinking of an outfit or something. Maybe not too romantic, but practical.

Since I'm not working and I don't want to spend his money on a gift for him
I will probably just cook him a nice meal and I was thinking about doing the valentine coupons. Nothing too exciting.

I'm getting him a t-shirt from me and the kids and I got him a card. We'll also be getting him some chocolates. But, it's my birthday, so other than that, the spotlight is on me

My DH just had his watch break on him, so I am thinking of buying him a new watch. He is a big Nascar addict - Mark Martin - so I may buy him a new car at the Nascar shop as well. There is one he has had his eye on for awhile.

We rarely exchange gifts, even our anniversary goes by without any gifts being exchaged. We do suprise one another sometimes, when it is not a "prescribed gift giving holiday". I just hate being made to feel that we must go buy gifts because it is February 14th, or Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. When we said "I do", we gave EVERYTHING that each of us had to give to the other, and continue to do so till death do us part.

Couponchic - my DS loves Mark Martin too!
DH is working in another city, several states away, so I am sending him a care package. It has all his mail and magazines, letters from all of us, some chocolates, photos of me and the kids (and the fur babies too!) and a few poems. I write erotic short stories for him, so he will have something to think about until his next visit

So far I have bought him a chocolate key....the key to my heart and a card that reads you hold the key to my heart.
I guess there is a theme going there. Maybe I should get some handcuffs with a key...lol!!

My hubby will be leaving right after Valentine's for a 6 week deployment. So we will be going out as a family to dinner at Claim Jumpers but not on that night. It'll be way too busy. Then I'm planning on getting him an hour massage at the local Spa/ Retreat before he goes. His back bothers him alot and the massages always help.

We agreed not to buy anything for each other this year. But we plan to go out for dinner in our favourite restaurant so the day will be something special.
However, I guess I will get flowers nevertheless!!
