I'm going to make my daughter a heart shaped chocolate...
and I am going to give her some cool retro looking strawberry shortcake sunglasses (1.50$)

I'll make them some heart shaped cookies for valentine's day. Then when the sales come on the next day, I usually like to pick them up a heart shaped box of chocolates or a little stuffed toy with a heart on it.

I took Lori's frugal tip about buying candy after Christmas and using it for Valentine's. I bought some cute little bags at Walgreens for .79¢ for 30. I am going to fill them with red and silver kisses. I usually give them a heart shaped box of chocolates, but this year will be different.

We do lots of heart shaped baking for Valentine's Day. We decorate the house, and have dinner on our good china with candles for the table.
My mom always makes empire cookies for Valentines day...they are cookies with homemade jam in the middle, with a light icing and a little cherry on top. yummy
I haven't been able to perfect her recipe yet, close but not just as good as mom's. LOL So, of course we 7 children leave those special tasks for mom and grandma!
We usually make one another cards and write a sweet sentiment for each person on what makes them special in our lives.
No store bought sugary junk with Easter around the corner.

When Kohls had their 80% off sale I picked up a new outfit for everyone and Giselle lucked out-they had a pretty little sterling heart earings and necklace set that I picked up too. The party store here has helium baloons for .50 each so I will probably pick one up for each too.
