Wedding notes

Let's see. . . .

Brides mom was uncooperative Saturday, but did fine on the day of the wedding.

Lots of people stepped up to help -- an older couple from church
took all the family out for lunch, so I wouldn't have to cook, clean
for lunch. People grabbed stuff and helped as soon as they saw we
were doing something. One of the ladies we'd asked to do the cake
(but couldn't as she was out of town all week) helped set up the cake,
and fountain. . . others helped set out the food, move chairs, etc.

The maid of honor forgot Jake's ring- so they faked it in the ceremony, and she ran to get while we were setting up the receiving line.

The happy couple forgot to throw the garter and bouquet

The temperature was nice, the sun was shining -- but the wind nearly blew us off the hill. with the fierce wind, we had to fake the lighting of the unity candles too.

My sister got my dad to and from the nursing home.

We have LOTS of food leftover

but only 2 1/2 cheesecakes -- no
mini cheese cakes left. . no cupcakes, only a few slices of wedding
cake, lots of cheese and meats.

I'm glad you had some help. It's good the bride's mom got "in gear" in time for the actual wedding! Do you get to relax now or is your schedule still crazy?

Wow sorry to hear about all these mis-haps but glad everything turned out ok in the end

Still crazy-- my cousins are here all week, from PA. . . we're planning my aunt's memorial service for next Saturday -- and of course all the stuff for Easter.
