    Smile My October freebies

    1. One medium-sized Ziploc plastic bag with 7 pieces of "corn-kernel candy" in it. I got this from the candy dish at the post office while I was posting a coupon envie. (The clerk had plastic-bagged all the candy because of H1N1 Mania, so the bag was an extra bonus. Usually, people take only 1 piece of candy from the dish, but a single piece of corn-kernel candy must have looked strange inside a plastic bag, so she upped it to a total of 7 pieces.)
    2. A pink carnation flower from the post office; they were giving them away to promote cancer awareness.
    3. 2 envelopes full of coupons that I ordered from Save.ca and Brandsaver.
    4. Printed about $50 of coupons in the last few days from special offers on various websites and in my email.
    5. Today, Save.ca coupons in the mail
    6. Kelloggs coupon in the mail for $2 (any product, no expiry date), sent to me due to my bad experience trying to use their coupons in a store
    7. Box of Christie Toppable Crackers 454g FREE (instore coupon: B3G1F, when I bought 3 Kraft products (2 of which I used coupons for)
    8. In the mail: free sample of Cold-Fx: 6 pills, and a $2 coupon
    9. Printable coupon from the Cold-Fx website
    10. Bought 4 more boxes of Kelloggs cereals today; used two $2 coupons ($2 off WUB2, so paid $4 less on total); there are $10 of coupons on the back of each box, so I got twenty $2 coupons FREE, that's $40 worth of coupons to use and trade.

Buy one get one free is not really getting something free. Generally they just make the price higher on the one. It is important to know the 'normal' price of items, because the grocery stores in IL and WI definitely hike their prices before they do BOGO offers. Sometimes it is a good deal, but often it isn't.

If the price isn't jacked up then it is free. Here, it isn't jacked up. I keep track of my stores. If you don't have to pay for it then it is free cause I/you're not paying one red cent for it. All in the eye of the receiver.
