I received 16 jabon from a coworker after she heard how much I love them. Jabon is a Japanese grapefruit - milder taste and totally yummy. I am going to dehydrate them and see how they do. Have been sharing them with a lot of people today!!

A free oil change and a free car wash...........loved it!

I get them free all year long........which won't be much with the miles I put on my car! (can't just go in for a car wash! --darn!)

We helped friends pack their moving truck to move from RI to CA. They gave us a ton of stuff they didn't want or couldn't fit...

    Full size microfiber couch
    2 year old Lawn Mower
    3 Wooden Bar Stools
2 Sets of Antique Golf Clubs
    Kitchen Table with 3 Chairs
Metal Tool Box for a Truck Bed
    Aluminum Ladder
    Air Conditioner

One of Hubby's Co-workers cleaned out their beach house and we scored...
    2 Dressers

One of my Co-workers gave us a booster carseat for our little one on the way

Now we need to figure out what to do with all this stuff!

Sounds like everyone has scored some great freebies!

I know everyone has differing views on 'dumpster diving', but I happen to think as long as the item still has life left in it, and its' former owners are discarding it, it's better for it to end up in my home and being used than to be in a landfill!!

Our trip to the local dump last week to drop off trash netted the following:

2 bicycles needing only minor repair (chain and brakes) - a Huffy and a MONGOOSE (believe it or not) Both in excellent useable condition other than the minor repairs needed.

1 exercise bike with the "rower" handles - MINE!

1 wheelbarrow - just a little rust-oleum paint, one new handle and we're in business! I've needed one of these for a long time, not willing to part with the $35-$50 to buy new!

1 golf bag, brown leather, complete with clubs. A little clean-up and that sucker is Ebay-bound - just like the other one I found there a few months ago and sold.

1 lawn chair - very nice one.

hangers for the side of my punch bowl (sorely needed!)
snaps for garter belts (so NOT needed! )

Lots of good stuff to keep and some to pass on. I'm putting together a bag for someone else right now...
