Let's see...I hit a Freecycle jackpot when I replied to a post for candles and candle holders, plus a clock. When I got there, they had just finished a yard sale, so I was offered to look thru the leftovers. YAY! I was thrilled, and to top it off, my hubby was looking cool and calm. Normally he gets antsy at those things...lol! But here's the list of everything that I remember anyway.

The clock was an awesome surprise because it's just so pretty, and was new, in the box from Ballard Designs. And get this!....the price on the shipping label? $45!!! I was ready to start happy dancing right then and there!! hahaha!

A few candles, with some small holders, BUT!!! One of the holders is a silver plated candle lamp with a shade. It's about 14in. high too. Another happy dance!

    4 canning jar mugs

A brand new kitchen message center. It has a corkboard area, a wipe off message area, as well as mail slots, and some hooks. I'm gonna glue some strong magnets to the back, and stick it on the side of my fridge. It should take care of the mess I have hanging on magnets now.

A brand new so-so purse. I'll probably donate it.

A crocheted fringed shawl that I'm going to give away to a lady I know who will love it.

3 silky bead fringed valances. 1 burgundy, 2 eggshell. So pretty!

A brand new bag of poly-fill.

I think there were a couple more things, but can't remember. Anyway, I was totally thrilled.

Also when I go back to Publix and use my rain check, I'll be getting 6 boxes totally free Playtex tampons, and 2 more boxes at just $.75 ea.

So off to a good start. Hope the month finishes out on the same note it started in!

    Theresa

Friday was our anniversary. We splurged and went to Chili's. Had a coupon for a free appetizer.

    More free stuff!

    - a bottle of shower gel
    - a container of lotion
    - a pouf

Those three were part of a gift set I was given today

My husband and I also got taken out for dinner tonight, but it was a business dinner so I don't think that really counts.

However, my colleague is leaving Greece tomorrow and he asked me to stop by tomorrow morning and I can take whatever he's not going to take home so I'm expecting to get a few more things for free tomorrow!!

Today I got 42 tubes of Colgate Total Advance Health toothpaste for $6.19. There was a sale at a local store and I used coupons that I picked up from nearby dentists' office. One dentist office gave me 2 coupons for free Crest Pro Health toothpaste....which, of course, I picked up at a store today!

So today my work colleague flew back to the US and he left me the key to his apartment here to get whatever I wanted of the stuff he left behind! So I just got back and I got a bunch of good stuff including ...

    - unopened bottled water
    - eggs
    - cereal
    - olive oil
    - coffee
    - dry pasta
    - frozen spinach
    - a lemon
    - sunscreen (3 bottles)
    - shampoo
    - bug spray
    - two maps of the city
    - a book
    - face wash
    - an unopened bar of soap

and probably some other things I can't remember!

We also got taken out to lunch today by a friend

So today was definitely a great day for freebies around here!

Walgreen's had a bogo on hanes they were 5.99 and both packages had a 1.00 off coupon and I was able to use a Walgreen's register reward that was a 1.00 so one package was free and the other was 3.99.
    2 bags of chips
2 packages of hot dogs and rolls
    2 boxes of sherbet
    2 bottles of ginger ale
1 Starbucks coffee from work (When they are training some one they have to make so many cups so us cashiers get to sample the coffee)

I know this really doesn't count as 100% free because of the massive interest we have paid, but my husband and I just redeemed points on an old CC for 1 free night at a hotel for our anniversary!

It will take less than a tank of gas to get there and back, and we will pack lots of food for the beach so it won't cost us a fortune.

We were thinking of camping but I have to admit, a hotel sounds so much nicer!
