WELCOME!!
Man, folks, how are you all scoring all this stuff? Coupons?? I saw the dumpster post but even those of you not going to dumpsters are scoring more than I could ever hope to! I'm on Freecycle for my area and I watch Free postings on Craigs List of my area.

other than the dumpster .....
coupons used on sale items (stores here double), free samples in the mail, friends/family that pass stuff down (like books or clothing).
My MIL gave me the xmas paper/bows because it was so cheap for her to buy on sale - she didn't let me pay her back.
I hope you find some great freebies soon!! Keep your eyes open, you may just not be seeing them..... like pennies in the parking lot

ohhh, I don't think it's "allowed" BUT if there is NOT a 'no trespassing' sign posted, there's not much they can do
The ones I visit aren't locked. Just located behind the building.
where do you live madjen? I was just going to donate the instant to the food bank, I don't know anyone that will use it - I can see if they will fit inside a flat rate box? That's $10 to ship - want to trade?
Oh, it's instant DECAF - uck.

ok, I need a large flat rate box - they won't fit in a medium.
but here's a pic - so if you want them, let me know.
flat rate large = $14.95
I don't know how much coffee costs in the store - but there are 6 bottles and two packs of "coffee bags" (singles)

you guys are going to think I've lost my mind.... but I really don't make a habit of this... yet maybe I should start.....
A friend & I went frolicking through another dumpster last night ..... because a little birdie told me that all the xmas stuff (at all of these particular stores) would be going in the trash yesterday & today -
The plan is to go to numerous different store dumpsters tonight.....
It pains me to see how much stuff they throw away - it's just wasteful!
soooo - last nights haul, not counting the small bit my friend took home with her, or the broken/trashed stuff, we have....
28 Golden Road 2 oz chocolate covered grahams or pretzels
2 xmas ornaments -one is a singing micheal jackson ornament, I love it
2 packs xmas tree shaped marshmellows
7 candy cane ornaments
5 bags chocolate footballs
1 box divine cookies
3 boxes strawberry soft cookies
14 bags chocolate snowmen
5 bags chocolate coal
12 chocolate/almond bars
10 gingerbred cookies in tins
8 chocolate chip cookies in tins
6 double crisp santas
1 bag cookies & cream chocolate
8 little peppermint barks
9 candy cane wreaths with gummies
1 Marshmellow rudolph that little j ate while I counted.
1 xmas baby bottle pop that little j claimed
6 lollypops ; broken, but still wrapped
2 wind up santas
1 wind up snowman
1 wooden nutcracker with a broken arm that I need to fix
32 boxes of mini candy canes (30ct box)
So the plan is: I'll crunch up the broken lollypop/candycanes & store them
I'll use the chocolate to melt down to make valentine's treats (chocolate covered pretzels)
and I'm using some of the cookies as cubscout snacks ....
keep in mind, NONE of this stuff is expired - just christmas themed.
