I received $20 of CVS Extra Care Bucks and since I've been stuck in this darn house for weeks with single digit temps,
I refused to spend it on necessities. This is what I bought and it was $1.99 out of pocket:

Reg px $12.39 but received $7 back in ECB to be used by 4/7/14. Color is Rose, it's a Physicians Formula Mineral Wear blush.

Two of these at full prx $2.99 each, color is Pocket Full of Roses:

And two sparkly pink lip glosses 2 for $3 and the brand and color escape me.

I get cash rewards from my Visa, which I use for groceries but always pay in full. This time I received $25 but suddenly, my seven year old simple HP printer died.

I picked up this model at WM today, HP 1010:

It's also simple, only an inkjet, no bells and whistles but it's all I need. It was the last one on the shelf.

The catch is that the necessary USB printer cable, is not included, so there went $20.

So $4 OOP for the printer and $20 OOP for the cable.

It was in one of those envelopes from Arbitron... I'm not going to do their survey, because I don't really watch tv, but I'll take the free dollar.

Makes me wonder how many of those envelopes get thrown out as junk mail with dollars still inside them...

My husband and I unexpectedly got a free appetizer, a free side upgrade, and a free dessert at a steak restaurant. It was kind of funny, actually. We walked in and saw they had a free appetizer if you joined their mailing list, so my husband got on his phone and by the time we were seated he had already been emailed the coupon...funny thing is, the waitress never actually used it, she just took the appetizer off our bill, so he still has it to use another time.

My husband ordered a salad that was supposed to have cherries and then the waitress informed us they were out of cherries. We decided to split a steak and I ordered a baked potato as my side and that was that. About 5 minutes later the manager shows up at our table to tell us they are out of baked potatoes. (At a steakhouse? WTH?) So he gave me my choice of sides including a free upgrade to one of their premium ones, so I chose their fancy mac and cheese. A little while later, we're eating and I notice there are a couple of weird bluish looking noodles in my mac and cheese, so I pick them out and leave them on the plate. I told my husband about it, but we never said anything to anyone else.

Well, we were ready to leave when the waitress comes by with a huge brownie sundae and says the manager told her to drop it off for us. The manager comes by again and starts apologizing and explaining that sometimes the ink from the packaging gets on the pasta, etc. I thought it was really funny that they noticed! My husband and I were joking that the table must have been bugged or maybe we were on one of those food network shows where they have hidden cameras in restaurants.

Also, if you're willing to sit in the bar...doesn't have to be AT the bar ... the chips & salsa are always free. They do NOT advertise that. You can always ask first to be sure. At Christmas we always end up with gift certificates for there. Also if you "like" them on Facebook some really good offers come out and you can print them out. Keep an eye on their facebook page
