What did you get for free in July 2014?
New month, new chance to be a drain on the system! ;D
So far this month, I've gotten:
-free admission to the Constitution Museum in Philadelphia (dumb luck, we happened to show up on their free day... wouldn't have paid $58 for the four of us to go in, but hey, we were stuck waiting for our time to go into Independence Hall, it was air conditioned and they were doing arts and crafts, also free...)
-free zucchini from my niece's friend's garden... they had too much, so they gave her too much, so she gave some to me!
-a free inversion rack, a thing you lay on and flip yourself upside-down to stretch out your spine. I've always wanted one but too cheap to buy it... this one was on the corner with a "free" sign, and folds up so it can be tucked in a corner. It kept the kids quiet and amused for almost 10 minutes, as well!!!

A *bunch* of perler beads (those plastic beads kids do art with and you iron them to melt them together) and "forms" for making them off freecycle. On the one hand, it's awesome, because DD7 mentioned recently that she wanted some and she's thrilled to have them... on the other hand, she's very prolific and they're already starting to pile up. I'm going to try to find some strong magnets to glue them to to make fridge magnets, and others we're going to back with felt and make coasters she can give her newlywed sister and grandparents as gifts... but I'm already getting tired of ironing the danged things!!!

A pet-themed ceramic food bowl from the animal shelter. It came with our lightly used doggy and was exactly what I was looking for earlier that day but couldn't find in the stores, so it was perfect.
