What did you get free in January?
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

That would have been nice. Sorry to report that I didn't get anything for free. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong places.

    3lb bag of onions
Plastic catering trays from Chik-Fil-A (I plan to wash and re-use to take meals-on-wheels to my family)
2 liter coke zero ($.99 and I had a $1 ECB from CVS from last quarter)

NEARLY free... $.01 after rebate, plus tax... so $.42 total, 2 reams of printer paper from Staples... not a moment too soon, either, because my little Picassos have run through all the reams I got them at back-to-school. The paperwork says I can get up to 4 rebates, so I may go back for 2 more.

My best finds at the free center this week:
    -brand new jar candle
-almost-new body spray (came from a shop somewhere, it's labeled 'sample' and 99% full)
-a little snow globe with a ballerina teddy bear and hearts for dd6 for Valentine's Day
-3/4 full can of Static Guard, which I've been wanting to help control my crazy thick, coarse hair. I haven't used it in years and keep forgetting to buy a bottle. And there it was!

Best of all- some kind soul brought in a stack of $5 gift cards to the local coffee/sandwich place for the volunteers for Christmas. One was set aside for me and passed on to me today. As tempting as it is to use it to grab a delicious buffalo chicken wrap for lunch when the kids are off at school some day, I gave it my hubby. He can use it to grab a bagel or muffin and coffee on his way into work some early morning. It's a big treat for him as he loves to do that kind of thing but almost never does anymore. I was touched by the giver's generosity in both time in money to think of the volunteers and do that for us, and happy to be able to surprise my wonderful hubby with a morning treat.
