Free boat hook! Well, okay, I had to make it from bits and weird pieces from my little pile o'junk I keep out by the garage for just such emergencies, but hey, I'm happy with it and it didn't cost a thing.

At least a half dozen large and medium flower pots, some of which I just got done planting flowers and tomatoes in, garage sale free boxes.

Gutter scoop, NWT, garage sale free box.

Set of two vintage Pyrex Visions glass saucepans with lids, perfect condition, garage sale free box.

Candy bars from the grocery store.

Fish lure, found down by our dock, donated to GW since we don't fish.

Pedometer from year-long Prevent program which is also free.

    Pen found on street.

Several yards of burlap, garage sale free box.

Wire freezer basket, yup, that's right, garage sale.

Bungee cord, uh-huh, garage sale box.

I'm sure there was some other free stuff but I can't recall now. We had a great day saling last Saturday and not just for the freebies.

An enormous cucumber from a co-worker's neighbors garden. When I got to work late afternoon, it was the only one left. I haven't done anything with it yet, and in the end, may not. Cukes aren't a favorite unless they're pickled. But no one else had taken it, so I adopted it.

Totally forgot about the free movie rentals this month.

Local movie rental store gives free movie rentals for A's on final report card. Up to 5 rentals to be used in June. Two children X the max of 5 A's each = 10 free movie rentals in June.

this will sound very glib, but I got a free Pap and free Mammo. Something must've changed in NY or maybe it's part of the ACA Obama stuff. That saved me $60 and I think that is wonderful, hopefully more women will get screened if it's free.

It is part of the health care insurance changes. It is part of the free preventative care. An annual checkup is free as well. And it is not just in new york
