WOW!! three $50 AmEx gift cards, & an $85 Walmart egiftcard, from the kids of my landlord who just passed away - they redeemed all his CC points. They were appreciative of me helping him out in his declining years. We shared a wall and I could hear when he called for help. Pays to be nice!!

That was very thoughtful of them, and of you too, Jo.

Husby's coworker gave him a 2019 calendar, a tee shirt, and a tote bag, all with a patriotic theme.

The grocery store gave us 2 Crackle candy bars.

about a dozen cookbooks, and a veritable TON of quilting magazines, at a yard sale. Actual stuff for sale was way over priced but these were all free. Also rug hooking magazines, will try to sell online.

4 homemade donuts from a friend.

All from salvage at the dump today:

    Handful of small hardware, new.

Metal headboard I might use for an archway over the garden gate when we build that fence.

The back from a bench. It has a cast iron panel in it that looks like lattice. Not sure what I'll do with it yet.

Two sets of 2 fridge drawers, with thier plastic frames. They will make nice, fast, nonrusting, nonwarping drawers in my greenhouse.

Two wire freezer baskets for general purpose storage.

A cat litter jug. I love those for storage. I cut the tops off and use them for so many things. They weigh almost nothing but are very strong, and can be cut down to fit into many spaces.
