I don't frequent Aldi's often enough to know what's good and what to avoid because it's horrible. Anyone want to share what they frequently buy there?

Anyone want to comment on the Aldi brands of fish sticks? I notice they are having a sale on them this week, and I was thinking of stocking up. We don't eat a lot of processed food but I like to keep a couple boxes of better quality fish sticks on hand for quick dinners. How does Aldi compare...

While we were at Aldi we saw cans of candied sweet potatoes last week. These are different than the regular canned ones. We bought 2 as they were .99 each to try. They were amazingly good so we got 6 cans today. They only rang up at .49 each this week! We are hoping they go lower next week...

I was in another town and have heard about what great prices you can get there so I decided to stop by and check it out. I thought that if prices were good I could maybe stock up on can goods, dry goods and bring them home. If they were real good I was planning to make a trip maybe once a month...

I was looking at Aldi's prices on this blog The Motherload Aldi Supermarket: Price Sheet & Store Information Agreeing the prices were close to what I saw here. Then I saw the comment section dated 2006 ( with the most recent Jan 2010) are these older Aldi's prices or do they update their...

Aldi has a Crofton food dehydrator on special buy thru 7-21 for $19.99. It is the round type. I don't know anything about this dehydrator, as I already have an Excalibur, but I thought someone who wanted to try dehydrating without investing a lot of money might be interested. They also have a...

We're thinking of trying Aldi soon. Are there any products to avoid due to quality issues? Is it easy to determine where their food originates from? We're very nervous about eating food products from mainland China now and are doing our best to avoid them due to the recent fatal QC failures...

I am in the Chicago area and Aldi's has its spiral sliced hams at $5 off per ham - depending on how big the ham is, this could be close to 50% off.

I just found out Aldi is opening a new store 8 miles from my house! Will this really help my grocery bill? I currently make a weekly loop of grocery loss leaders, coupon deals, the bakery thrift store, and Sprouts for produce and the bulk bins. Thrifty, but time consuming! I mostly cook from...

For those of you who dehydrate foods, Aldi's has a mandoline slicer for $4.99 this week. I got one yesterday and used it to slice potatoes for french fries and for slicing mushrooms. Today I'm going to try slicing lemons.
