Today while dropping off donations at the Salvation Army ( kids outgrown toys and clothes and shoes) I decided to stop in to see what they had.
Our news recently ran an article saying that angels on the angel tree still needing to be claimed ( after the official local ending/collection date)
It went on to say that last year in our town 30% of the children's angels were not chosen from the tree.
This broke my heart to hear this...

i have been looking for framed furber floral or fruit prints for some time. they look like this - very williamsburgy, very 1730
they can be very expensive. i got six framed prints with gold and black mats for 6 bucks.
Was going go do some christmas shopping today but ran in at sa. don't usually find much that i can use but today found 3 pair nice slacks just my size one pull over short sleeve sweater and a nice black blouse all for $15.95 i was proud of my find there.:jug:

Just wondering, since the Salvation army is a charity, that if you make purchases there if that's considered a donation to that charity? If so, with a reciept would you be able to claim that on your tax returns? Has anyone done this before? Thanks in advance for your help!
