The hubby drags this upright cleaner home the other day from work.
His boss told him to throw it in the dumpster.
We came to the conclusion it needs a new belt.
I pick up 2 new belts today for $ 3 and open the bottom, and yes,
the belt is broke. So I change it.
Plug the machine in, and turn...
I told my mother to remind me to run to Sears to get some more vacuum cleaner bags as we were all out and she said (Depression Era mama) that what she did when she was in a pinch was to cut off the bottom, empty it and reseal it with duct tape. I tried this (as the bags I buy are cloth & not...
I use all-purpose cleaners ---put them into my own spray bottles, watered down and some times adding stuff (like ammonia for window spray).
I've never tried Fabuloso, yet I see it at the Dollar tree and other stores. I've seen it mentioned here, but would like to know more.

This stuff works great!
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp baking soda
1 tbsp dish soap
1 cup water
Heat water in the microwave for 1 or 2 minutes.
Pour hot water into bowl. Place salt, soda, and dishwashing liquid into bowl. Place jewelry in and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse jewelry in cool water...
Here is a recipe for a cheaper GP cleaner.
1 teaspoon borax
1/2 teaspoon washing soda
2 teaspoons vinegar ( white)
1/4 teaspoon dishwashing liquid
2 cups hot water
Mix all the ingredients. For a more pleasant smell, use lemon juice instead of vinegar. Put in a spray bottle to use.
