I've been putting off life insurance for long enough and I've decided it's time to get this part covered... but I cannot find a good formula to figure out what would be good. Please don't give me a standard Dave Ramsey approach -- I need hard numbers to figure this out.

I have a 2000 Ford F150 pick up truck. It's paid for, and maybe $5K in value.
I "technically" have the money in my EF to replace it should it get totalled, but at the same time I don't want to spend that money.
I currently have full coverage on the truck with a $500 deductable.

Jack just got back from talking to a different Insurance Co. then the one we had our homeowners insurance with. We signed right up, premium is about $70 less and we'll have better coverage. :yippee:
