The first time I went to see my plot, it was totally underwater. After digging some trenches and waiting a week it was dry enough to plant. The soil seemed great. I didn't amend it at all, as I thought the city did that, I didn't have anything to amend it with and no muscle to go buy big bags...
I went tonight to stock up on stuff for sale and stuff we were out of. Nothing more, nothing less.
To start with, the shelves were mostly empty. And the prices have been jacked waaaay up.
Organic flour (which I didn't need) was up $1.50 more for 5 lbs. at $6.49. I walked on by.

I had Jamies feet measured over christmas and when I was out with mum I saw a lovely pair of trainers and shoes that were 50% off, I am always particular about the kids shoes and always buy the right size/width fitting from Clarks or other good shoeshop so even at 50% off they were still pricey...
Grrrrrrrrrr! I am so mad at myself. I had both crock pots and the bread machine going yesterday and was SO proud of myself. I had made cauliflower cheese soup, cornbread & bread pudding from the leftover homemade cinnamon raisin bread.

Well, I thought I would save tons of money this year by starting seeds indoors and transplanting them. I don't know if I waited too long or planted too soon, but pretty much all of my seedlings have died. :(
I still have my eight tomato plants, and I planted some seeds directly in the ground...
It was terrible. LOL. WE thought to try a new recipe and found one at Marthastewart.com for a quiche. We were very dissappointed, it was terrible lol. we ended up havig pbj sandwhiches for easter dinner. :bang:
