I know that Dave says matched funds, then Roth, then unmatched funds. However, he also talks alot about compound interest. I have about 35K in my 401K. Is it better to start a Roth from scratch, just add it all to my 401k, or do it like Dave says? Which way will I come out best?

My wife and I are on BS2, with £2000 in our EF. We have about $5,000 sitting in an investment account in a Roth IRA. Would it be wise to pull that, pay the taxes, and put it toward BS2, or to leave it there and invest it? Thanks!

Called one of Dave's ELP's in my area to have two small Roth IRA's rolled over to a new company. Seems the company we are with doesn't want to keep one of our Roth's since it recently fell below $1,000. and will be sending us a check! Hmmmph! Well, I was going to roll them over to another...

Not too late for a 2007 IRA Question: I'd like to reduce my tax liability for 2007. Can I still make a contribution to my 401(k) or to an IRA and have it count toward the 2007 tax year? Or is too late for me to do that now? --J. Scott
  11. Debt Reduction & Money Management have up until Tax Day (April) to put contributions into your IRA (Roth or Traditional) for 2006. I'm getting a small COLA starting with my next paycheck so yesterday I set up my account to auto-deduct $50/month from my checking to go into my IRA.
