  1. Question and Answer
I'm trying to figure out a way to get that last little bit of wax out from the bottom of my jar candles. I have some jars that are tall and some that are short and would like to recycle/re-purpose them vs throwing them out. Got any tried and true ways to do this?

Ok, who's with me on this? This is another easy challenge. Just save your change and wether you deposit into a bank account, add to it all year and count it at the end of the year, or count it as you add to it, it's all fun. You can do this any way you can... count all change, just pennies. just...

I was wondering how many people have ever canned a meal in jars by pressure canning. I got to thinking about power outages. And it sure would be more frugal and convenient to have a meal in a jar ready to go. Save you gas and dollars instead of running out for a restaurant meal or take out...
  10. Gifts In A Jar
Hi all.. I buy the small candles at Walmart that are only a dollar but they come in these really nice jars that are clear glass complete with a tight fitting lid, the kind that has the dome top and a plastic gasket to fit snugly into the jar. They are kind of small, (votive candle size) can't...

I have a nice stockpile of canning jar lids. Thank goodness. I was pricing them recently at a couple of stores. The one store wants $1.50 for the standard mouth ones, which were $ 1 a box last year. Second store wants $ 2.29 a box for the standard. I don't plan on having to buy any lids this...

So I ran into a little budget snag this week, and I really didn't like the options that were available: 1) go to the bank and withdraw money (I try to work cash only) 2) "borrow" money from the "Saving for a Computer Fund" I had $70 in my change jar, which I was hoping to take to the bank on...
